Using accents, special letters and emoji in lyrics

Keep your spelling and check the font warning before choosing a style.

Paste the spelling you sing, including accents and tone marks. Do not remove meaningful marks just to fit a font.

Check the result

  1. Paste plain text and check the language before syncing.
  2. Check the words again on Sync.
  3. On Style, watch for a greyed font or a message saying that a font does not have letters your lyrics use.
  4. Choose an available font and preview the affected lines.

The cleaner gives equivalent accented characters a consistent form. Font checks decide which faces can draw your actual lyrics. A font being available does not prove that automatic sync supports every language.

In Diary, 'Original' is its original hand and 'Marker' uses Permanent Marker. A chosen hand can fall back when it cannot draw a letter. See Why is a font greyed out?.

Emoji are not a dependable way to add lyric text across styles. Use the words you sing rather than relying on a symbol.

The glyph check examines your letters in their written, upper-case and lower-case forms. It checks for missing letters and, when shaping is available, misplaced or colliding marks. Changing the words can change which fonts are available. It does not guarantee every script or emoji will work.
