A lyric video for YouTube

Give the full song a place to live. Start with your finished recording, then make a landscape video you can upload to your channel.

Morrow Circuit · Light in the Wire · original instrumental, no vocal, words timed by hand · sound on play

Start with the full song

  1. Upload the finished audio. Check the supported audio files first.
  2. Paste or auto-detect your lyrics. Check the words and repeated sections in Sync, then add your cover art.
  3. Pick a style and preview it with the song. Widescreen gives the cover a slow cinematic treatment; Postscript puts quieter words in serif and script.

Make sure the words land

Listen to the first line after a pause and the change into each chorus, and adjust any word that lands early or late. Check a dense verse at phone size too, with a readable font and enough contrast against the artwork. The lyric timing guide walks through it.

Choose HD or 4K

The full video is a 16:9 MP4: HD is 1920 × 1080, 4K is 3840 × 2160. Both come with the same vertical clip, and a paid video has no watermark. 4K does not improve the audio or sharpen a small cover. Read HD or 4K if you are deciding.

Captions and your upload notes

The download includes SRT, VTT and LRC caption files, and the YouTube pack gives you a starting point for the title, description and chapters. Review both in your own voice. YouTube chapters need at least three timestamps from 00:00, each at least ten seconds long, so a short song may not have enough sections.

Give the upload a final look

  1. Download the finished MP4 and play it through once.
  2. Upload it to your channel with the title, description and any chapters.
  3. Add the caption file, then check its timing against the upload.
  4. Review the thumbnail and visibility before publishing.

The YouTube upload guide covers the handoff, and Your videos keeps your purchased files. lyrik doesn’t distribute your release. If your distributor manages Content ID for your recording, ask them how your channel’s uploads should be handled before you publish.

Credit packs and how credits work

A few things to know

Does the full video include a vertical clip?

Yes. Choose one portrait clip from the same song as part of the full-video download.

Can I upgrade from HD later?

Yes. The upgrade uses the difference in credits between the HD and 4K tiers.

Which caption files do I get?

The current export includes SRT, VTT and LRC. Check the words and timing before uploading them.

Can I check the words before exporting?

Yes. Listen through the sync check, correct the wording or adjust words that land early or late, then preview your chosen style. Check a fast verse and the chorus before choosing your download.

Should I choose HD or 4K?

Choose the resolution that suits where you will show the landscape video. Both include the same portrait-clip resolution. 4K does not change the audio or add detail to a low-resolution cover.

Does lyrik upload the video to my channel?

No. Download your finished video, then upload it to your own channel. You can review the picture, sound, captions and upload notes before making it public.
