Guide
Make a lyric video without written lyrics
Start with your recording. Detect the words from the vocal, check them as you listen and choose how your lyric video looks.
Start with the recording you want to release
You may have the finished song but no lyric sheet, or a lyric sheet that no longer matches the recorded take. Choose Auto-detect lyrics after choosing your audio in the normal setup. There is no separate transcription tool to visit and no extra vocal file to prepare.
Detection separates the vocal and transcribes what it hears. The words then go through the same sync process as pasted lyrics. Keep the page open until the upload finishes; after that, you can come back through Your videos.
Check the words and timing together
A convincing timestamp can still be attached to the wrong word. In Sync, listen to the recording while reading the text. Start with the opening phrase, then each chorus, any change of singer and the final sung line.
Select a word to Edit word, Delete it or move it with the timing arrows. Use Undo if you change your mind. Edits save as you go. For a whole line, open More tools and choose Edit; if the number of words changes, listen again because the timing is redistributed.
If several lines need new timing, Tap along lets you place their starts while listening. You can return to Listen and fix for individual words. The sync guide explains what to listen for.
Know when pasting is easier
Detection can mishear names, accents, fast delivery, quiet vocals or several singers at once. It may miss a repeat or hear a sound as a word. The ending filter reduces likely invented text after the singing, but you should still check the final phrase.
If you already have accurate words, Paste lyrics avoids that transcription step. Put one sung line on each line and include every repeat. If a detected result is missing a whole verse, start a new project with the corrected text: Sync can change words inside existing lines, but cannot insert a new verse.
Turn the checked song into a video
Choose Looks right, pick a visual style and add cover art if you have it. Begin with the suggested settings, then change the typography, colours or other details you care about. Preview the chorus at phone size and a quieter section before exporting.
Choose a full video or a social clip in Download. A full video includes a portrait clip. Your download also includes caption files, so corrections to the wording matter beyond the video itself. Check the available formats and current costs on Pricing.
Detection has no separate credit charge. Once words are found, normal syncing starts automatically at the cost shown in setup. If detection fails or finds no words, you can retry when offered or paste a fallback in the same project. The detection help page covers limits and recovery.
A few things to know
Do I need to upload a separate vocal?
No. Upload your finished recording; detection separates the vocal before transcribing it.
Can I correct detected lyrics?
Yes. In Sync, select a word to edit or delete it, then check its timing. For a whole line, open More tools and choose Edit.
Can I still paste my lyrics?
Yes. Paste lyrics is available in the same setup. It is the better starting point when you already have accurate words, including every repeat.
Is detection guaranteed to get every word right?
No. Check names, repeated sections, overlapping vocals and the ending before exporting. The result needs your review.
