Which Canvas look suits my artwork?
Choose from whole-artwork motion, print and film, words, logos and suitable subject looks.
Start with what makes your cover yours. Is it a face, a landscape, a graphic shape or the texture of the print? Choose a look that makes that detail stronger.

| Your artwork | Try |
|---|---|
| A landscape or an image with no clear subject | Artwork for camera movement, light and texture across the whole image |
| Photography or a printed sleeve | Print & film for worn film, vinyl and paper treatments |
| Words that are part of the art | Words for repetition, reshaping and motion |
| Your own transparent mark | Logo with artwork or a video loop behind it |
| A clear subject with a clean cutout | The available subject looks, then Layers to inspect the separation |
Start here gives you a short starting selection. All looks lets you explore more. The choices change the treatment, while you keep control of the crop and feel.
Why can’t I see the subject looks?
Those looks need a usable cutout. We only offer them when the song’s analysis has a suitable subject and the preview can use the mask. Busy backgrounds, fine hair, lettering and objects attached to the ground can make separation difficult.
If a subject looks detached or an edge looks rough, use a whole-artwork look instead. More effects will not repair a poor cutout. Check a few full loops, especially where the subject meets the ground.
What about a deeper scene?
Rebuilding the scene behind your subject for more depth on your own cover is coming soon. It is different from the existing subject treatments. We have not announced its final price.
Your song’s photos and video loop can also form part of the preview. Use media you have permission to use. A logo treatment is not a guarantee that promotional branding meets Spotify’s rules; keep the image artistic and relevant to the track.
