How do I make a Spotify Canvas with lyrik?
Start with your song’s artwork, choose a moving look and download a silent loop.
A Spotify Canvas is a short vertical visual that loops while someone listens to a track in Spotify’s Now Playing view. It is separate from a full music video or a release promo.
Our Canvas editor uses your song’s artwork. Preview a look, then download it as a silent MP4.
Start with the song you already have
In the editor, open your song and choose Canvas from the output selector. Your cover, photos and video loop come from the same song’s Visuals. You do not need to make a separate project or sync lyrics for the Canvas itself.
- Choose an artwork look from Start here or Artwork.
- Check the portrait crop. Keep the part of the image that matters in view.
- Choose 3, 5 or 8 seconds and watch the loop through.
- Adjust the movement, light or texture if you want to. A strong starting look often needs very little.
Try Print & film for a physical, printed feel. Words and Logo use your own words or transparent logo. Keep any text artistic and relevant, rather than adding an advert or a call to follow.
One song, different outputs
You can switch between lyric video, promo and Canvas while working on the same song. Canvas changes stay with that song while it is open. This is not a promise that Canvas edits are saved to your account or available on another device yet.
Download Canvas shows the cost before you confirm: 150 credits. Check the full loop first. Your purchased version stays with the song for free re-downloads; your first free clip stays separate. Add the finished file in Spotify for Artists. Depth scenes remain coming soon.
