Does my download include a YouTube thumbnail?

The files included with your order and a way to make your own still image.

A separate thumbnail image is not included in the download pack. You can save a still from your finished video or use artwork you have permission to use.

Make a still

  1. Download the finished MP4.
  2. Open it in a player and pause on the frame you want.
  3. Use a frame-saving tool, or take a screenshot with the player controls out of the way.
  4. Check the image is sharp and its words are readable at a small size.

Use the finished paid file, which has no watermark. A screenshot cannot add detail that was not in the video.

Upload it on YouTube

YouTube requires account verification for custom thumbnails. In YouTube Studio on a computer, open Content, select the video, then use Upload file under Thumbnail and save.

YouTube currently recommends JPG or PNG, 16:9 for a standard video and 9:16 for Shorts. Its recommended dimensions are 3840 × 2160 for videos and 2160 × 3840 for Shorts; file-size limits vary by upload device. These are recommendations for your separate image, not a thumbnail size exported by lyrik.

Check YouTube's current thumbnail guide for the applicable limits, Shorts controls and thumbnail rules before uploading.
