How long does my video take to make?

What Preparing, Rendering and Saving mean, and how to return when the files are ready.

The Download screen says: 'Usually about 5 minutes. HD is quicker. We’ll email you when it’s ready. You can close this page.' That’s a rough guide, not a promise: a long song, a busy day or some styles can take longer.

Follow the progress

  1. 'In the queue.' means your download is waiting its turn.
  2. The three stages are 'Preparing', 'Rendering' and 'Saving'.
  3. While it renders, you may see your video or clip named, with frames and parts ticking over.
  4. 'Adding your audio to your video' means your song is being joined to the pictures.
  5. 'Saving your downloads' means your files are nearly there. Wait for the ready screen before you download.

The percentage moves on as each part finishes, and a time-left guess may appear once we have a good idea. 'Trying again' means a part didn’t finish first time and we’re having another go, so the guess may disappear for a moment.

Leave and come back

You can close the page once your download has started. Open the song again from Your videos whenever you like. We’ll also email you 'Your lyric video is ready', and its button takes you to your project.

If the screen says something went wrong, see My render failed. What now? If nothing has moved for much longer than usual, open the project again and contact us with the song and the stage it’s on. Please don’t buy it again to refresh the screen.
