Should I pick ‘A lyric video’ or ‘Just clips for socials’?

Pick the one you want most today: it only sets where lyrik starts you off, and you can change your mind on the Download step.

The question

Straight after you choose your track, lyrik asks 'What are you making?' with two answers:

• A lyric video: the whole song in 16:9 for YouTube.
• Just clips for socials: a 9:16 clip for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Under it: 'A lyric video is £4.99$5.99€5.99CA$8.99A$8.99 and comes with a free clip. Clips on their own are £1.49$1.79€1.79CA$2.69A$2.69, and your first one is free. You can change your mind at the end.'

Which should I pick?

• You want a video for YouTube. Pick A lyric video. It comes with a free 9:16 clip too.
• You only post on Shorts, Reels or TikTok. Pick Just clips for socials. If your account got the welcome offer, your first clip on its own is free. After that, a clip on its own is £1.49$1.79€1.79CA$2.69A$2.69.
• You want both. Pick A lyric video. You get the 16:9 video and one 9:16 clip for £4.99$5.99€5.99CA$8.99A$8.99 (HD) or £6.99$7.99€7.99CA$11.99A$11.99 (4K).

That's all it changes. Your sync, your styles and your choices are the same either way.

How to change your mind

1. Tap Change next to your answer while you're still answering the questions. Your other answers are kept.
2. Or wait until the end. On the Download step, 'What would you like?', tap Full video or Just the clip, whichever you picked at the start.
3. In the studio, switch the preview between 16:9 YouTube and 9:16 Shorts at any time.

Good to know

• A full video always includes one 9:16 clip. It's the part of the song in your clip window, up to 60 seconds. See How do I choose which part of my song becomes the clip?
• Start with a clip, upgrade later. If you paid for a clip on its own, the full video costs only the difference: £3.50$4.20€4.20CA$6.30A$6.30 for HD or £5.50$6.20€6.20CA$9.30A$9.30 for 4K. • A clip order is just the clip. It doesn't include captions or the YouTube copy pack. Those come with the full video.
• Another clip from the same song is £0.99$1.19€1.19CA$1.79A$1.79, or free if it’s your first clip on its own.

If something goes wrong

• You picked the wrong answer and already uploaded. Nothing to fix. Just choose the other option on the Download step.
• You can't see 'Just the clip' or 'Full video'. Make sure your sync is finished and a style is picked. The Download step needs both.

Hidden extras

• Whatever you pick, you can preview both shapes in the studio. Press F on a computer to switch between 16:9 and 9:16.
