Using the SRT, VTT and LRC files from lyrik.fm
How the SRT, VTT and LRC text files differ.
The text files let you use your synced lyrics outside the video. They do not upload anything to a platform themselves.
| File | What it contains |
|---|---|
| SRT | Caption lines with start and end times |
| VTT | WebVTT captions, included in cloud full-video orders |
| LRC | Lyric lines marked with start times |
These files use line timing. They do not recreate the style's animated words or artwork. A clip-only order does not include the full text pack.
Add captions on YouTube
- Download the text files with your full-video order.
- In YouTube Studio, open Subtitles, choose the matching video and language, then add subtitles.
- Choose Upload file, then With timing, and upload the SRT.
- Preview the words against the video before saving or publishing.
YouTube accepts basic UTF-8 SRT and also lists LRC and VTT as supported formats. Use the same recording and edit as the caption file; full-song timings will not line up with a shortened clip. See YouTube's caption instructions and supported files.
TikTok and Instagram
The lyrics drawn into your MP4 stay visible wherever that video plays. A platform's optional captions are a separate layer and can overlap them.
TikTok offers generated captions that you can review and edit. Check the words, especially sung or layered vocals. See TikTok's caption guidance and accessibility overview.
For Instagram, check the caption options offered in your current app and preview the result. This guide does not promise SRT or LRC import there. Instagram Help has its platform guidance.
After editing your lyrics
An existing order keeps its saved text. For updated text files, make a new order and check its price before confirming.
LRC does not publish lyrics to streaming services automatically. See Lyrics on streaming services.
