What’s the quickest way to compare styles?

Flick through styles with the keyboard on a computer, or a few taps on a phone.

Start with the three styles picked for your song, then flick through the rest with ↑ and ↓ on a computer, or the Style tab on a phone.

On a computer

  1. Start with the three styles at the top of the list. They’re picked for your song, each with a short reason, like 'Fast verses: …'.
  2. Press ↓ or J for the next style, and ↑ or K for the one before. Hold the key to flick through quickly.
  3. Click Present above the preview to see it on the whole screen. ↑ and ↓ still change the style there, and Esc leaves.
  4. Press F to see the same style in 9:16, and P to switch between your clip and the whole song.

On a phone

  1. Tap the Style tab under the preview. The three picks come first, then More styles.
  2. Tap a style. The sheet closes so you can watch it.
  3. Tap Style again for the next one.

On a tablet or a narrow window

  1. The three picks sit under the preview, with More styles below them.
  2. Tap or click one to see it on your clip.

  • The cards are real stills of your song, in your colours. Once you’ve moved your clip, they’re taken from its first sung line.
  • Your colour, lyric size, capitals, ad-libs and energy follow you from style to style, so you’re comparing like with like.
  • So does Shuffle’s take: shuffling one style changes the take every style uses.
  • Switching holds the last frame until the new style is ready, so there’s no black flash. If it takes a moment, you’ll see 'Getting
