What am I agreeing to in ‘One quick check’?

Before uploading, One quick check. asks you to confirm:

I own this music or have permission to use it

If you choose a cover version, it also asks:

This is my own recording of the song, not the original release or a karaoke backing track.

What is recorded

lyrik keeps the confirmation with the project, including the statement, its version, the Terms version, the time and a hash of the requesting network address.

The confirmation is separate from agreeing to the account Terms and from any consent shown when buying a download.

If you are unsure

Read the draft Terms. Ticking a box does not clear rights for you or prove that a beat, sample, cover recording or lyric is licensed for your intended use. Check the relevant agreement with the rights holder or get legal advice before uploading.
