Using lyrik.fm with a keyboard or less motion
Keyboard controls, alternatives to dragging and ways to reduce motion.
You can use the editor's keyboard controls and choose a quieter preview.
Try these controls
- Use Tab to move between controls. The focused control has a visible outline.
- In the style list, use the arrow keys to move and Home or End to reach either end.
- On Sync, press ? for 'Keyboard shortcuts'. Escape closes the current panel.
- Choose a clip length or a 'Jump to' section instead of dragging the clip edges.
- In a guided sync check, use 'Sounds right', 'Too early' and 'Too late' if tapping along is difficult.
For the full list, see Keyboard shortcuts.
Reduce motion
Turn on reduced motion in your device settings before opening the preview. This stops automatic playback where the preview supports it. It does not change the movement in your downloaded video.
Choose 'Calm' under 'Energy'. Flicker has no 'Energy' row: set 'Flashes' and 'Wobble' to 'Off' instead, as reduced motion on your device calms its preview only. For other controls, see Flashing and motion.
The full-video download includes an SRT caption file. You can use that alongside your video in a player that supports it.
