How do credits work?
One wallet for syncs, videos and clips: which credits are used first and which expire.
Credits are what you spend in lyrik, on syncs and on downloads. Tap your balance pill to open Your credits and see what you have, what’s free and what you’ve spent.
Free and paid credits
- If your account gets the welcome offer, you start with 50 free credits. That’s enough for 5 syncs (a sync is one track lined up to its lyrics). Use them within 90 days.
- Credits you buy in a pack never expire. Payments go through Stripe, and prices include tax.
We always spend your free credits first, starting with the ones that expire soonest, then your paid ones. If we give credits back, they go back where they came from, and free credits keep their original expiry date.
Your free clip
If your account got the welcome offer, your first clip on its own is free. If it fails to render, you get it back. See Your first clip for the details. The free clip isn’t extra credits in your balance: it just shows as 'Free' on the Download step.
Check your balance
- Tap your balance pill to open Your credits.
- See your balance, and when any free credits expire.
- Look at Recent activity for everything added, spent or given back.
- Tap Add credits if you need more.
Packs come in 500, 750, 1,650, 4,500 and 10,000 credits (the Studio pack). See Understanding prices in lyrik.fm for what each one costs.
If a top-up is refunded or disputed, its credits come back out of your balance. See What happens to my credits if a top-up is refunded or disputed?
