How do I see my balance and what I’ve spent?

The balance pill and the ‘Your credits’ sheet, and what each activity line means.

Your balance is always in the pill at the top of the page, and tapping it opens Your credits, with your balance, expiry dates and recent activity.

How to open your wallet

  1. Find the balance pill at the top of the page.
  2. Tap it. Your credits opens. On a phone it slides up from the bottom.
  3. Close it with the X, the Esc key, or a tap outside it.

What the pill says

  • Sign in: you’re signed out. Tap it to sign in.
  • '4 free syncs left': you only have free credits.
  • '1,240 credits': you have paid credits.
  • It turns amber when you have fewer than 10 credits, which isn’t enough to sync a new song.

What’s in Your credits

  • Your balance. With free credits only: '4 free syncs' and '40 free credits. Each sync uses 10.' With both kinds: '1,240 credits' and '1,200 paid · 40 free'. With paid credits only: '1 credit ≈ 1p'.
  • When free credits expire, for example '40 free credits expire on 6 Jan 2027. Free credits are used first.'
  • 'Paid credits never expire.' when you have paid credits.
  • Add credits. See How do I add credits?
  • A short price row: 'Sync 10 credits', 'Clip £1.49$1.79€1.79CA$2.69A$2.69', 'HD video £4.99$5.99€5.99CA$8.99A$8.99', '4K £6.99$7.99€7.99CA$11.99A$11.99'.
  • Recent activity, newest first, each with a date and the credits added (+) or spent (−).
  • 'Signed in as you@example.com.' and Sign out at the bottom.

What each activity line means

Line What it means
'Welcome: 5 free syncs' Your 50 free credits arrived.
'Synced “Title”' A sync used 10 credits.
'Synced “Title”: same audio as before, no charge' You uploaded audio you’d already synced. Free.
'Refund: “Title” didn’t finish syncing' A sync failed, so its credits came back.
'HD video of “Title”' / '4K video of “Title”' You bought the full video.
'“Title”: upgraded to the 4K video' You paid the difference to upgrade.
'9:16 clip of “Title”' You bought a clip on its own.
'Another clip of “Title”' You bought an extra clip from that song.
'Top-up: 1,650 credits' You bought a pack.
'Test top-up, no payment taken: 1,650 credits' A test top-up from the early beta. No money moved.
'Refunded top-up: 500 credits' A top-up was refunded, so its credits were taken back.
'Disputed top-up: 500 credits' A card dispute was opened, so its credits were taken back.
'Dispute closed: 500 credits back' The dispute closed in your favour.
'Credits owed from a refunded top-up' Credits you’d already spent from a refunded top-up, taken from new credits.
'Test credits from the beta (no payment) retired' Left-over test credits removed when real payments started.
'40 free credits expired' Free credits that reached 90 days.

Good to know

  • A charge that used both kinds of credit shows the split, like '· 4 free, 496 paid'. One paid only with free credits says '· free credits'.
  • A row that cost nothing shows 'free' instead of a number.
  • Recent activity shows your latest 25 lines only.
  • Free re-downloads don’t add a line.
  • The price row only lists the main prices. Extra clips and upgrades are priced on each song’s Download step. See How much does lyrik cost?

If something goes wrong

  • 'Nothing yet.' Nothing has been added or spent on this account yet. If you expected free syncs, see Why didn’t I get my free syncs?
  • The pill shows a grey blank. Your account is still loading. Wait a moment, or reload the page.
  • I don’t recognise a line. Check the table above. If it still doesn’t make sense, contact us.

The first-clip offer

If your account got the welcome offer, your first clip on its own is free. If it fails to render, you get it back. See Your first clip for the details.
